Immunology, autoimmunity and chronic inflammation
More and more people live with low-grade chronic inflammation: that state in which the immune system is permanently “on” without a clear infection to justify it. And many modern diseases have this inflammatory root — autoimmune, metabolic, neurodegenerative.
From a PNI perspective, we do not seek to suppress the immune system: we seek to understand what is activating it. Almost always there is a combination of leaky gut, latent infections, chronic stress, hormonal dysregulation, and environmental exposures.
Conditions we address
- Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and autoimmune hypothyroidism
- Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and other systemic autoimmune diseases
- Psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory skin conditions
- Recurrent infections: urinary, herpes, candidiasis, sinusitis
- Allergies and sensitivities (new food or environmental)
- Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and high histamine
