Child and adolescent anxiety: what the body is saying

Anxiety in children and adolescents is often not called “anxiety.” It appears as stomach aches before school, night awakenings, irritability, difficulty concentrating, tantrums that don’t fit the age, or problems with food. The body is saying something that the child doesn’t yet know how to name.

The PNI-psychopedagogical approach doesn’t just “calm” the symptom. It looks at what lies beneath: altered microbiota, hypoglycemia, lack of deep sleep, digital overstimulation, immature emotional management, family dynamics. And it works with parents as allies, not as spectators.

What the consultation with children and adolescents is like

First session with the family: we understand the context, habits, symptoms, and most difficult times of the day. Nutritional plan adapted to age (without rigid restrictions, teaching sustainable eating). Specific psychopedagogical strategies: routines, regulation tools, screen management, sleep. Shorter follow-up sessions, with individual spaces with the child when appropriate.
