Your cycle reveals aspects of your general health
A regular cycle, without incapacitating pain and with moderate bleeding, is a sign of good systemic health. When problems appear — intense PMS, irregular cycles, functional amenorrhea, very heavy bleeding, incapacitating pain — what is failing is not “just the hormones”: the cycle is the ultimate manifestation of an underlying system that is not well.
What we assess
Insulin resistance (key in hypothalamic amenorrhea and PCOS). Stress axis (high cortisol suppresses ovulation). Thyroid function. Nutritional deficiencies (iron/ferritin, B12, vitamin D, zinc, magnesium). Body composition (functional amenorrhea requires sufficient muscle mass and sufficient calories). Exposure to endocrine disruptors.
