What is intestinal dysbiosis?
Dysbiosis is an imbalance in the composition of your microbiota: “good” bacteria decrease, opportunistic bacteria expand, and the diversity that keeps your gut, immune system, and brain functioning well is lost.
Frequent symptoms: bloating, gas, alternating diarrhea and constipation, new intolerances to foods you previously tolerated, skin problems (adult acne, eczema), fatigue, brain fog, low mood, intense sugar cravings.
Why PNI helps with dysbiosis
The microbiota is the most connected organ in your body: it dialogues with the brain (gut-brain axis), with the immune system (trains your defenses), with the liver, and with your hormones. Treating dysbiosis without addressing these systems causes the imbalance to return.
What we evaluate: root cause (previous antibiotics, diet, stress, infections), specific pattern (overgrowth, deficiency, loss of diversity), and factors that maintain the imbalance.
How we address dysbiosis in consultation
An anti-inflammatory dietary plan adapted to your pattern. Mucosal repair when appropriate. Progressive reintroduction of prebiotic fibers and fermented foods. Judicious supplementation (strain-specific probiotics, not generic ones). Stress and sleep management strategies that support rebalancing.
